Michael Freeman
is an Executive Vice President with McCarthy Cook & Company
and manages the firm’s development and construction
activities. In addition, he is also responsible for new
property acquisition due diligence. Mr. Freeman has extensive
experience in competitively operating and growing successful
real estate programs including asset management, development,
project/construction management, leasing and team leadership.
Well versed on major West Coast markets and fostered long-term
relationships throughout the real estate industry. Freeman
held management positions with Carma Developers, Marathon
Realty, and the Shorenstein Company. Among major development
assignments, Mr. Freeman successfully managed the entitlement
and development of a variety of projects including the 232,000
sq foot office complex Walnut Creek Center, project
development manager for 595 Market Street, 410,000 sq feet and
the 175,000 sq foot China Basin Addition in San Francisco.
Prior to
joining McCarthy Cook & Co., Mr. Freeman was a founding
partner of Northwest Asset Management (NAMCO subsequently
acquired by Jones Lang Wooten). Established in 1982, NAMCO was
the largest independently owned property management company in
Northern California.
Mr. Freeman is
a member of ULI, NAIOP, and Board member of SFBOMA’s Political
Action Committee, board member of the Mission Bay CAC, and
board member of the Northern California Construction
Institute. He is involved in numerous community and charity
activities and holds a Bachelor’s degree from San Francisco
State University. |
