Highlighted Life Science Transactions

UCSF Sandler Neuroscience Center: The new Neurosciences Building 19A at the UCSF Campus at Mission Bay is a five-story, 237,000 square foot, $235 million state-of-the-art research and lab facility designed to support the important mission of discovery in diagnosing and treating diseases of the brain for the Neuroscience Department and associated Keck Institute. The Neurosciences Building includes presentation rooms, clinic space and patient care on the first floor, with labs, lab support, vivarium, offices, building amenities and support areas on the upper floors. MCC will own and manage this world-class facility for 40 years in a first of it’s kind public/private joint venture with the University of California Regents.

UCSF Clinical Labs: 39,320 sq.ft.of Improvements
The relocation of the UCSF Clinical Laboratories from the Parnassus Campus to the 2nd Floor of China Basin at 185 Berry Street in San Francisco. Project was completed on-time, on budget.

Digital Imaging Center, Research and Office Facility for the UCSF Department of Radiology.

Specialized Build-out for MRI’s, CT Scanners and Other Digital Imaging Equipment.

UCSF opened a world-class research and medical diagnostic imaging center in China Basin to provide imaging services and support cancer research. UCSF provides an anchor for other research or related ventures who are seeking space in proximity to Mission Bay. The UCSF clinic and imaging center provides the finest radiology services and diagnostics to the general public.

IVAS Pharmacy: 3,734 sq. ft. of Improvements
This project involved the conversion of office space to lab use for the UCSF Department of Pharmaceutical Services Intravenous Additive Services (!VAS) Facility on the 2nd Floor of China Basin.

The Improvements Include:

  • (2) Class – 10,000 Clean Rooms Meeting USP 797 Guidelines
  • Preparation Areas, Chemo Room, Gowning and Order Processing Areas
  • Extensive Mechanical Venting and Rooftop Systems
  • Administrative Offices with IT Support
  • Compliance with State of California Pharmacy Licensing Standards
